Doctor Who

I still find it amazing that I am sitting down on a Saturday
evening with my two sons to watch a TV show that I used to
watch as a kid! The modern re-working of Doctor Who has to
be one of the greatest revivals of all time.
I originally chose to paint David Tennant whilst he was still on
the show, and surround him with some of his foes. A brilliant
actor, he could turn from comic genius to the 'destroyer of worlds'
in a couple of heartbeats, and both children and adults loved him
for it, and the show's popularity became greater than it had ever
been.

David Tennant as the Tenth Doctor

With the introduction of Matt Smith as the eleventh Doctor
I thought it was a good time to paint a picture of all the 'Modern
Era' doctors together. Little did I know what a huge task it would
be! This painting took me a long time! Simply because I had to get
three portraits as close to the real people as I could. I think I did ok,
but it was one of the hardest pictures I have ever done!
