Beauty And The Beast

Beauty and the Beast was a US tv series in the late 1980's. It starred a
(then) little known actress by the name of Linda Hamilton as 'Catherine
Chandler', and a rising star - usually found under layers of laytex make up -
Ron Perlman as 'Vincent'. It also starred veteran British actor, (and all round
nice guy - see below,) Roy Dotrice as 'Father'. It was a modern day telling of
the classic 'Beauty and the Beast' story, and it gained a huge following here in
the UK as well as the US, and ran for three series.

I am proud to say that the original painting of this particular
piece of work is actually owned by the wonderful actor Roy
Dotrice himself. I met and presented it to him at a UK 'Beauty
and the Beast' convention a number of years ago, and I am
pleased to say that he was full of praise for it, and has it hanging
up in his house. I am also humbled by the fact that he sends me
a birthday card every year! He was lovely to chat with, with a
great sense of humour, and a teller of great stories from his years
as an actor. A really really nice guy!
