I am usually a very harsh critic of my own paintings, (I spend so much
time looking at them I sometimes get sick of the sight of them!) but there is
something about this portrait, I actually think it is one of my best pieces of work.
I feel I have just about caught the sadness and pain the character goes through
in the movie, and add to that the tragedy of Brandon's real death whilst filming
it, there is just something about it that is haunting.
